MYCO Celebrates Women in Construction Week

Today is International Women’s Day, a chance for everyone at MYCO to celebrate the amazing women in our lives and all of their achievements.
 
This week is also Women in Construction Week, which raises awareness of the role women play in the industry and encourages more women to consider roles in construction.
 
Did you know that recent statistics from the Office for National Statistics found that only 14% of the construction workforce is made up of women? At MYCO we know that this should change, and we are proud to be an organisation that provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for women.
 
Speaking about her experience working in construction with MYCO, Quantity Surveyor Eliska Ostra said, “At MYCO I got a great opportunity to grow and progress like anyone else. I have never had to think about being a woman in construction, which is credit to everyone at MYCO.”
