MYCO Kensington High Street Topping Out

MYCO celebrated the topping-out phase of 197 Kensington High Street, a new-build commercial development project on a logistically challenging, narrow terrace site.

Early works included the demolition of the existing dilapidated building to deliver the new mixed-use project. The new structure features ground and basement-level retail space and four storeys of offices above, crafted with the aim of elevating this prominent street corner with a finely crafted contextual building. The new heavyweight structure has been built with load-bearing brickwork laid in Flemish bond, supporting pigmented concrete lintels and a feature scalloped face.

The project team celebrated the building’s topping-out with key members of the client and consultant team as well as sub-contractor representatives. Kevin Culhane, Project Director said;  “We are really pleased with how this project is progressing and would like to thank all parties involved for their excellent contributions to the project so far, achieving an important milestone on track to completion in Q1 2022.”
