MYCO Celebrates Apprentices During National Apprenticeship Week
06/02/2023
National Apprenticeship Week is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the apprentices we have working with us at MYCO!
We believe strongly in supporting the next generation of professionals in the construction industry as part of our Future Driven Construction mission. Alongside supporting internships, work experience, and graduate programmes, apprenticeships form a big part of how we deliver our commitment to developing talent.
We currently have two Apprentices working within the team at MYCO, Rigel, who is studying for a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification with BPP College to become an accountant, and Suraj, who is studying Construction at London South Bank University to become a Quantity Surveying Technician.
Speaking about his role at MYCO, Rigel said, “Being part of an apprentice scheme gives me the benefit of being able to train in the role and practically apply what I am learning at college day to day. I have got insight to a growing and fast developing business, joining early on has given the chance to grow with the company and my confidence has strengthened and continues to increase day by day”
Suraj loves getting practical experience alongside his studies, telling us that, “The combination of employment and part-time studying is effective in helping me understand the construction industry and more importantly the role of a Quantity Surveyor”
