MYCO wins CSR Initiative of the Year at Construction News Workforce Awards

We are delighted to announce that MYCO won the CSR Initiative of the Year Award at the 2023 Construction News Workforce Awards last night.

Giving back is at the core of who we are at MYCO and we are proud that our work in this area has been endorsed by Construction News.

The award is for organisations that take the lead in delivering positive impacts for the communities and stakeholders they work with, and we are delighted that the judges have recognised our contributions in this way.

Over the past year the team have done amazing work, including raising over £33k for charities through gruelling fitness challenges. One of the challenges was the epic Rocacorba challenge, which saw the MYCO team train in their own time for months on end to cycle 250 miles climbing two mountains in 37c heat. The team completed the challenge in good spirits and raised over £19,000 for Mind.

Some of the other highlights included £20k of charitable giving, completing the London Marathon, delivering an extensive programme of apprenticeships, work experience and graduate schemes, prioritised local employment on our projects and implementing a health check service for our on-site workforce, amongst countless other initiatives.
